Calculating multiway pots preflop is one of the most challenging tasks for solvers. Most of them can handle it by limiting player actions, categorizing hands, and using preset poker strategies.
But live poker has little in common with static preflop charts. There will be calling, limping, and sometimes, absolute maniacs at the table. On top of all that, add in varying stack depths, strange opening sizes, antes, and a different rake structure. The task becomes even more challenging for most solvers.
Custom Multiway Preflop Solving allows you to solve these pots right in your browser—in just a few seconds. GTO Wizard can now solve custom multiway preflop spots and relies on a hybrid approach rather than pre-calculated static schemes.
The program combines a Counterfactual Regret Minimization solver (a standard engine that calculates Nash equilibrium strategies) with an artificial intelligence EV estimator.
The first release of this solver includes:
- Chip EV + Rake: You can adjust the rake load and see how the optimal strategy changes.
- Antes: These come in different formats, such as from the entire table, from one player, or from the big blind only.
- Straddles: Standard, double, and even Mississippi from any position.
- Node Locks + Player Profiles: You can lock in desired ranges and enable performance profiles for players. The entire table's strategy will be dynamically adjusted.
To make the decision tree even more practical, the software was expanded with two modes:
- Fast Mode: Short decision horizon and recalculates strategy more frequently. This mode is better suited for large and complex game trees.
- Classic Mode: Street-by-street game, suitable for exploiting node locks and profiles, as the AI score assumes optimal play beyond the set depth.
The solver automatically selects the mode depending on the complexity of the game tree, but you can also switch it manually.

A new Ultra plan has been developed specifically for custom Multiway Preflop Solving. It includes:
- Unlimited Multiway Preflop Solving (up to 9-max): full-ring solutions with full customization of stacks, sizings, ranges, and structure.
- Unlimited Multiway Preflop Solving (for 3-max): postflop for multiway pots, with support for more players coming in future updates.
- Access to an exclusive Discord community: Discuss strategies with high-stakes regulars in the #ultra-only channel.
- 1,500 Power Credits per month: points are automatically added to your balance when you sign up for Ultra. They can be used to create flop reports and solve spot trades with unique parameters. Each month, your balance is replenished by an additional 1,500, which carry a $140 value.
Important: Spots don't have a fixed price; the price depends on the solution's complexity and server load. The developers are currently optimizing the backend, and as the system scales, the cost will decrease. Below is an example of a standard analysis, which costs 222 Power Credits.

Full solver customization isn't necessary for everyone, but strong basic strategies never hurt anyone. Previously, most of the library included only preflop solutions, without postflop options.
At the end of March, it was expanded with Single Size Postflop Solutions. These are strategies generated by the GTO Wizard artificial intelligence. The solutions use dynamic sizing on each node to select appropriate bet sizes.
This way, both strategic integrity and ease of execution are maintained.Let's see how the solver works in practice and analyze a situation that standard preflop charts can't handle.
Live, 100bb stacks, 10% rake with a 2bb cap. The CO opens with a 5bb raise, everyone folds, and you're in the big blind.
CO RFIThe first thing that catches your eye is the cutoff's absurd range, way too tight. This is all due to the huge opening. In live games, 5bb is the base, but it's still 160% of the current pot. Because of the high rake, the solver never expects a call, so they build a range that blocks potential raises.
Of course, no one will play like that live. So, we'll create a node lock for the cutoff's range, expand it, and write a realistic reaction to 3-bets:
CO RFI (nodlock)
CO vs 3-betHere you can clearly see how BB exploits CO:

It suddenly turns out that even with a wide cutoff opening range, the big blind never calls. It's simple: the raise is huge, the rake is extortionate. The optimal strategy here is 3-bet or fold, which at first glance seems to contradict standard preflop heuristics.
This is the nuance that static charts miss. And it's precisely this type of thing that Multiway Preflop Solving reveals.
