Phenom Series of Poker (PSOP) Running Now: $1,000,000 in Prizes Over 92 Events

What is the PSOP?

The Phenom Series of Poker is Phenom Poker's first major tournament series, the crypto poker room that bills itself as "the first site owned by the poker community."

Over 24 days, it runs 92 events with buy-ins from 25 to 5,000 CHIP. The guarantees add up to more than 700,000 CHIP.

All buy-ins and guarantees are in CHIP, which is like other stablecoins, pegged to $1. A 500 CHIP buy-in costs $500.

The schedule leans extremely hard into mixed and niche games, more than any other poker room has in recent history. Alongside NLH and PLO, there are PLO5, PLO6, Big O, Razz, Stud, Badugi, 2-7 and A-5 Triple Draw, Dramaha, and a long list of mixes such as 8-Game, H.E.R.O.S. and T.O.R.S.E.

A few other perks and quirks of the PSOP:

• Early Bird Chip Bonus: Players registered before the first hand is dealt start with 10% more chips in all 92 events. Satellite winners qualify automatically if their satellite ends before the event starts.
• Reload Bonus: Deposits made during the promotion are matched 150% up to 3,000 USDT. The bonus is released in stages at 3.5× the rake generated, and any rake counts.
• Leaderboards: About $200,000 worth of prizes to reward consistent finishers.
• Heads-up Deals Only: The final two players can agree to an ICM chop, but play always continues to a winner, who takes the trophy and the leaderboard points.
• Wall of Fame: Every event champion gets a permanent plate on the PSOP Wall of Fame.

Highlight PSOP Events This Year

The biggest event comes on the final day: Event #91, the 9-Game Mix Masters High Roller, costs 5,000 CHIP and carries the series' top guarantee of 50,000 CHIP.

Opening night on 23 October starts with the PLO Turbo Kickoff at 18:00 GMT, followed an hour later by the 20,000 CHIP GTD PLO Championship.

The final weekend brings some highlights, with three of the 25,000 CHIP GTD Masters events and the High Roller packed into 14 and 15 November.

No-limit Hold'em players get fewer headline slots than usual; the NLH PKO Championship on closing day is the main one.

You can easily filter tournaments by the different days from the Series view, or search for specific ones from the Tournaments lobby.

The WSOP Prize Packages

Go from the PSOP to the WSOP.

Two WSOP Paradise packages worth a combined $22,500 are up for grabs on Phenom, and the value doesn't come out of an event prize pool.

One rewards results, and it's also a much higher value than the second package at $16,000.

The other rewards volume, which is obviously easier to achieve than results, and is worth $6,500.

Both packages include travel, which Phenom books. They can't be split, sold or swapped for cash. If a winner can't travel, the package passes to the next player in line.

If two players finish level, the package is decided by most event wins, then most final tables, most events played, highest total buy-ins, and finally whoever reached the total first.

Leaderboards

Two races run alongside the series, paying 250,000 PHNM between them (about $210,000 at Phenom's quoted price of $0.84). However, keep in mind that all PHNM won is credited on the day it is won and locked for one year, according to the terms and conditions.

PSOP Leaderboard: 150,000 PHNM (About $119,000)

The Leaderboard pays based on results. Only cashes in the 92 numbered events score, and the website rankings start tracking with Event #1.

A win is worth 100 base points, down to 10 for ninth and 5 for any other cash.

Three multipliers then scale the score:

• Buy-in: from ×0.75 for 25 and 50 CHIP events up to ×4 for the 5,000 CHIP High Roller.
• Field size: from ×1 under 50 entries up to ×2.5 at 500 or more.
• Format: every mixed-game event gets an extra ×1.2.

So a win in a 500 CHIP mixed event with 55 entries scores 100 × 1.5 × 1.25 × 1.2 = 225 points.

Top 150 payouts:

PSOP Rally: Up to 100,000 PHNM (About $80,000)

The Rally rewards volume, so results don't matter. Every paid entry scores 5 points per 100 CHIP of buy-in, including satellites and re-entries.

A seat won in a satellite or freeroll scores at the buy-in of the event it gets you into.

There are eight milestones, and players collect the prize for the highest one they reach. Milestones don't stack.

There is no cut-off, so anyone who reaches a milestone is paid. Rally scoring began with the satellites on 2 October, and three players had already passed 1,000 points. The player with the most points at the end wins the WSOP Paradise Event #1 package.

Track the results on the Phenom website.

Freerolls

Players can get into the PSOP without spending anything, using the freerolls. Phenom is running 157 freerolls that pay out roughly 22,000 CHIP worth of seats, either directly into PSOP events or into their satellites.

The opening-weekend freerolls include:

Some freerolls are restricted to players at Silver, Gold, or Platinum rewards tier and above. On the day of each of the twelve biggest events, there is also a freeroll paying two tickets to that event's Last Chance satellite.

Freeroll seats count on the PSOP Rally at the buy-in of the event they lead to. A freeroll seat into a 500 CHIP event is worth 25 Rally points before the player has paid anything.

For players willing to spend a little, more than 400 satellites start from 2.50 CHIP. Major events have two-step qualifiers, with Step 1 costing 10% of the target buy-in, and every event has a Last Chance satellite two hours before it starts.
