At the end of November, we will be organizing a Counter-Strike tournament in the classic 5x5 format for users of our website and forum.
Any user registered on GipsyTeam can participate in the tournament. An account must be created no later than the day before the event announcement.
To participate:
- Fill out the Google form at the bottom of this announcement
- Enter your GipsyTeam nickname
- Provide links to your Steam and FACEIT accounts
After registration, we will contact each participant—a $10 deposit is required to confirm participation. This deposit is required to prevent anyone from withdrawing from the tournament on the day, thereby letting their team down. CS is a team game in which participants depend heavily on their teammates.
Before the start, the organizers will analyze the participants' game statistics and assign them to baskets based on their skill level. This approach will help form balanced teams and give everyone, even relative newcomers, a chance to win.
Where Will the Tournament Take Place?
The draft and team selection will be live on the GipsyTeam channel based on player placement into buckets. The stream will take place on November 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM GMT time on our Twitch channel.
Registration closes on November 25 at 12:00 GMT time.
All games will be held on the FACEIT platform, which will not only allow the tournament to be held on reliable servers but also ensure a comfortable, cheat-free experience. You will need to create an account on this platform in advance.
The organizers will closely monitor for ghosting: if an experienced participant registers a new account, their FACEIT account will be blocked and they will no longer be able to participate in GipsyTeam tournaments.
The Prizes
Payouts are made up of GipsyTeam's guaranteed prize pool and participant fees. What the top teams will receive:
- First place: our branded merchandise, software, or gaming devices of your choice, 40% of the entry fees, and personalized trophies.
- Second place: merch, software, or gaming devices of your choice and 30% of the entry fees.
- Third and fourth places: 15% of the fees.
Prizes are available to tournament participants but also to fans. Spectators will have a $500 prize pool, and anyone can participate in the draft for free.
Each participant selects two teams in each group. If a selected team advances from the group, it receives +1 point; if it fails, it receives 0 points.
Each participant also selects three teams they believe will place highest. If the selected team takes first place, they receive 10 points, second place receives 7 points, and third and fourth place receives 5 points.
The draft will become available after the team distribution stream. We'll post a link to it in the tournament forum thread.
The top 9 picks will participate in a closed No-Limit Hold'em poker tournament and receive prizes from our website:
- Poker set
- A signature sweatshirt from the new collection
- GipsyTeam T-shirt
- Cap
- Plaid
Participants who take 6th-9th places will receive decks of cards from the GipsyTeam store.
Tournament Dates
November 25 – group stage in best-of-one format, three games for each team.
November 26 – playoff stage in best of one format.
November 27 – final in best of three format.
All games start at 17:00 GMT time.
Broadcasts of the Event
Each game day will be broadcast on the GipsyTeam Twitch channel. Matches for broadcast during the group stage will be selected by the organizers. All matches will be commentated by a professional caster.
