Poker players are not known for being fashionable. They're known for many commendable things, like keeping a straight face, crunching pot odds, hunching over solvers, and so on—but not dressing to impress. Nobody's saying poker players dress worse than the average person, but their priorities lie elsewhere, on the felt (not above and below the belt).
If you saw the 2025 World Series Main Event, you'll see what we mean. The Main is the pinnacle event of poker, but dressing for success was apparently not necessary. The 2025 WSOP winners wore about 30% hoodies, 25% t-shirts, and even a few V-neck shirts (which the Gentleman's Journal classed as "the most naff style choice a man can make").
We'll go through the best and worst dressed Main Event Winners, then some honorable mentions.
Best Dressed WSOP Main Event Winners
You may not see these outfits during Milan Fashion Week, but these WSOP winners outclassed their champion peers. Then again, we're comparing them to black shirts and comfy hoodies, so take these rankings with a grain of salt.
Here are the best dressed winners of the 2025 WSOP, in our humble opinion.
Tyler Patterson – Winner of Event #49
Tyler Patterson clearly knows the rules of poker, but also the rules of shirt buttons. Unbuttoning three is poor taste, or so many blogs and magazines proclaim—but two? Ideal. This textured blue collared garment put him miles ahead of his loose t-shirt wearing competitors.
After winning the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed event, and bagging $574,223 for himself, he'll be able to afford a few more shirts (even after the IRS takes some off the top). We question his choice of sunglasses, but that's for another list.

Shiina Okamoto – Winner of Event #70
Shiina won a spot on this list and also won the $1,000 Ladies Championship (although she's probably more excited about the latter). We know nothing about the dresses origins, material, or price point, but it's safe to say that she boosted the classiness at her tables, swimming in a sea of baggy hoodies. It's also functional, as the wearer can alternate exposed shoulders and get much-needed airflow as needed.
Unrelated to her fashion, Shiina Okamoto has maintained a stranglehold on this event over the past few years, reaching heads up in 2023, and winning last year in 2024. This year, her efforts paid off to the tune of $184,094.

Carlos Leiva – Winner of Event #42
Knowing that he had to be comfortable, but without sacrifice, Carlos Leiva donned a classy knit crew neck. It's the kind of garment that says, "I'm relaxed and here to win, but we can also hit a 5-star restaurant after I collect the bracelet". It also demonstrates bravery, as an condiment stains from the rail posed a significant threat to Carlos' TV presence.
As champion of $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and a man with $237,852 more in the bank, we're sure he's upgraded from 100% cotton to merino wool by the time you've read this.

Kelvin Kerber & Peter Patricio – Winners of Event #65
Someone once said fashion is for making a statement, and these two were successful. Kelvin Kerber and Peter Patricio chose two Brazilian soccer jerseys, with Kelvin choosing the blue livery and Peter going for the classic yellow. They put on a show in the $1,000 Tag Team event and became the second and third 2025 WSOP winners from Brazil.
The pair will split $184,780 for their efforts, which would have well covered some front row seats to the 2025 FIFA World Cup, but these two were a bit busy.

Mike Gorodinsky – Winner of Event #82
There's something to be said for rising above the sea of hoodies and doing something special. In Mike Gorodinsky's case, it was this button-front linden green item, which we'd like to call a "hooded sweatshirt." Dressing himself like a Bentley amongst Toyota Corollas, he rose to victory in the $10,000 Eight Game Mixed Championship, a fairly prestigious event at the WSOP.
He is breaking the three-button rule, but Mike gets a pass due to his brilliant moustache.

Mariano Balfagon – Winner of Event #95
Taking a page from the Canadian playbook with a denim shirt, Mariano Balfagon took down the $800 Deepstack event. It's a rugged piece of clothing, which exudes an air of confidence and probably stops bullets at the right distance. We assume that the air conditioning inside the Horseshoe Las Vegas was working extremely well, because denim isn't known for breathability.
But Mariano, from Argentina, will be feeling pretty cool walking away from an $800 buy-in event with $252,386.

Worst Dressed WSOP Main Event Winners
Before we start, let us make an important note. None of the players in this section of the list deserve to be ridiculed for their fashion. They've risen to the top ranks of their sport, winning small fortunes and besting hundreds or thousands of other players. Whatever these players decide to wear as they take their bracelets is fine with us, even if it would make Tom Ford weep.
Caleb Furth – Winner of WSOP Event #5
Back in 2010, shirts and hoodies covered in logos were extremely popular. Brands would plaster their logo all over garments, and most of us loved it. After all, the human eye loves repetition. Streetwear and skateboard companies like Eckō Unltd made a fortune on designs like this, but so were countless other brands.
However, things are a bit different in 2025. Therefore, Caleb Furth committed a small style-sin as he took down the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Even after taxes, his $620,696 win can afford some serious trips to Zara or H&M to correct his fashion faux pas.

Klemens Roiter – Winner of Event #37
The only thing deeper than Klemens Roiter's chip stack in the $1,500 Monster Stack, was the hood of his sweatshirt. Made popular (or unpopular) by Christoph Vogelsang, these special hoodies are known as cowl neck hoodies. They feature a ton of fabric around the front, perfect for storing snacks, preflop charts, or extra sunglasses. Some looks are timeless, but not this one.
Then again, Klemens won $1,204,457 in Event #37, so maybe his fashion sense is too elevated for us to comprehend.

Tyler Brown – Winner of Event #28
We have no problem with the color pink. Salmon, champagne pink, and other shades are well within the fashion safe zone, but not shade of Tyler's hoodie. In the $600 No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha event, he donned a sweater that can only be called highlighter pink.
If this was a distraction tactic, it's brilliant. Perhaps he chose it to make those tense stare downs a little easier. Or, it might have been used to sear the retinas of his opponents, making them mis-read the suits of their cards. Whatever it was, this writer hopes 2025 will be the final year this hoodie graces final table felt.

Honorable Mentions – Niche Fashion Categories
The winners of the Honorable Mentions category stand out for various reasons. From wet weather fashion to best poker themed hoodies, they did some special. Not only have they won WSOP bracelets, but also won a lesser prize of making it on this list.
Most Expensive Hoodie – Ryutaro Suzuki
In the Event #93: $3,000 T.O.R.S.E. event, Ryutaro Suzuki wore what we estimate to be the most high-priced hoodie of the winner's circle. Costing between $500 to $750, the Kenzo Pixel Oversize Hoodie is more than just comfy WSOP wear. This 99% cotton garment features a tiger and elephant, large knitted embroidery, and fabric softer than the opening stages of an online freeroll. It's a hoodie that says, "I want comfort, but not something other people can afford."
After winning $273,386, Ryutaro can afford about 400 more Kenzo hoodies.

Most Poker-Themed Hoodie – Zachary Zaret
Other players stuck patches onto shirts and hats, but that wasn't enough for Zachary Zaret (winner of the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event). While not nearly as pricey as Ryutaro's hoodie, the GGPoker logo pattern hoodie is a classic in the poker community. It lets people know you've played poker, probably have a great computer setup for multi-tabling, and might be angling for a sponsorship.
For anyone curious, these hoodies cost around $80, not including shipping. With $248,245 from his victory, Zachary can now afford a wardrobe full of GGPoker merch.

Most Workout-Ready Shirt – Xixiang Luo
Looking at Xixiang Luo in the $1,500 PLO Double Board Bomb Pot event, we see a man locked in and focused. His fashion tells the same tale. He sleeves may be gone, but soon his opponents will be too. We're not sure what Xixiang's plans were after his $290,400 victory, but it may have involved a bench press and dumbbells.
Hopefully he stays indoors, because the Las Vegas sun would create some pretty interesting tan lines.

Best Wet Weather Clothes – Nick Schulman
In the $10,000 2-7 Single Draw Lowball event, Nick Schulman looked like he was ready to step outside into torrential rain. But perhaps, he knew that it would soon be raining on him after the win, to the tune of $497,356.

Most Job Site-Ready Attire – Dan Heimiller
We salute Dan for winning the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event, but something about this shirt says "workplace." Perhaps it's the double breast pockets, or the shade of blue that wouldn't be out of place in a auto mechanic shop, we're not exactly sure. Either way, this isn't a bad thing.
That shirt says "I'm here to handle business" and that's exactly what Mr. Heimiller did. Winning just over $100k from WSOP Event #6, he'll definitely have some time for vacation (if his workplace allows it).
