We've collected the full Reddit post from "LazyAss", as well as CoinPoker's response.

First, let's hear the accusations.

CoinPoker Froze My 10,000 USDT Account

Hi all players, my CoinPoker account (holding over 10,000 USDT) was suddenly frozen and later banned due to an accusation of using real-time solver assistance (RTA) – with virtually no concrete evidence provided. I’m sharing a detailed timeline of what happened, the communication (or lack thereof) with CoinPoker support, and why I firmly believe this was a false accusation. I’ve tried to handle this professionally and factually, and I want to warn others about the risks of playing on CoinPoker given my experience!!

My Playstyle & Approach

To give some context, my playstyle is (from my perspective) highly exploitative. I play mid-stakes cash games. I deliberately deviate from “GTO” (solver-optimal) strategy to capitalize on weaker players’ mistakes. For instance, I often use non-standard bet sizings and make plays that a solver wouldn’t recommend in a vacuum, because I have a specific read or know my opponent’s tendencies. My idols and the guys which I use as learning material are Saulo Costa, Uri Peleg, Nacho Poker, and Clanty from Know Your Poker. I was practically break-even player, and profit was largely from rakeback and a good run. I target obvious leaks in the player pool (using a HUD). In fact, my standard opening sizing was 2bb from all positions except the SB, where it was 2-5bb depending on the player sitting in the big blind. From my view, a 2bb open in theory at 7max ante tables doesn’t make any sense. But from an exploitative view, guys in the BB under-3-bet and overfold vs a 2x open, which gives you a big advantage. For example, when the BB double-checks, he is almost always weak. You can blast any two cards as a bluff (depending on player type, of course) and capitalize on it. There are a lot more of these exploit lines. And we can also talk about sizing tells and timing tells from opponents...

Timeline of Events

Account Freeze & Initial Accusation (Late Oct 2025): I discovered my CoinPoker account was frozen without warning when I couldn’t log in or play. Shortly after, I received an email from CoinPoker support stating that my account was under investigation for using RTA/solver software. The only “evidence” provided in this initial email was a list of five Hand IDs that were flagged as suspicious. No specific analysis or details were given – just five numeric Hand ID references. Which all of that was against players type like VPIP/PFR 45/30

Initial Response from Support: After sending my explanation, I got a brief response a day or two later. Unfortunately, it was disappointingly vague. They did not engage with my hand-by-hand analysis at all. Instead, I got a generic reply.

Follow-up Attempts and Offers to Prove Innocence: I wasn’t satisfied with that response (obviously). I wrote back again, trying to remain professional and not emotional. I explained my situation in detail once more. Unfortunately, most of these follow-up communications were met with either silence or very curt replies repeating the same stance. At one point I got a one-liner email that basically said, “We have forwarded your case to the relevant department. Please wait.” – and then no response for another week.

Final Verdict – Account Ban with No Explanation: After multiple attempts on my part, I eventually received a final email from CoinPoker support in early Nov 2025. This message stated that after “further review, our decision remains final” – my account would be permanently closed and my funds confiscated. Crucially, they added that no further information could or would be provided to me, citing internal security policies.

Essentially: case closed, don’t bother us anymore. This felt like a slap in the face. They refused to address any of the evidence I provided or even acknowledge the possibility of a false positive. The support tone was terse and almost dismissive – offering no apology, no insight, and no willingness to engage further. In my opinion, the communication was highly unprofessional: a one-sided accusation where they hold all the power (and my money), and I’m not even allowed to know what triggered it beyond some vague suspicion.

Conclusion

This experience has been frustrating and disheartening. I’ve lost over 10,000 USDT that I legitimately won, with zero recourse because CoinPoker can unilaterally decide I cheated without showing proof. I understand poker sites need to combat RTA/bots aggressively I support that in principle, because RTA is a real problem, but transparency and due process matter. Here, CoinPoker provided almost no evidence and no opportunity to truly defend myself. Their support communication was sparse, unhelpful, and felt like copy-paste templates. Declaring a final verdict with “no explanation due to internal policy” is the kind of opaque approach that should worry any honest player.

I want to warn others: If you choose to play on CoinPoker, be aware that this could happen to you. Even if you’re completely innocent, you might be flagged by an algorithm or a cursory review, and you won’t get a chance to clear your name. Your funds can be confiscated.

I’ve tried every reasonable, professional avenue to resolve this privately. Now I’m sharing my story publicly because I don’t know what else to do, and I feel players should be aware. I’m not here to rant or sling mud for no reason – everything I’ve stated is backed by facts and my genuine personal experience.

Stay safe out there, and good luck at the tables.

It's rare for poker rooms to respond to such accusations, but this case was an exception.

Mario Mosböck, a former professional footballer and now a tournament high roller and CoinPoker ambassador, soon responded on Twitter.

Here's what he wrote:

Two things:

  1. RTA cheating is a big problem in online poker for all players
  2. CoinPoker "stole" 10,000$ from a player named "LazyAss"... or at least thats what he claims

Here is the fully picture and you be the judge: 🧵

🧵Player "LazyAss" posted on Reddit a lengthy explanation about how CoinPoker incorrectly froze 10,000$ in his account and it gained traction.

Here is the truth:

He cheated by using GTOWizard during hands. Attached is the proof from a CoinPoker internal security report with the help of GTOWizard to solve it:

Hand 1: He played a perfect hand, which also got looked up at the same time of playing.

🧵Hand 2: Same pattern, same day

🧵Hand 3: Same the next day – keep in mind that this proof is just the tip of the iceberg, that I pushed the Coin team to release.
How they got there and how our dedection tools work at scale, cant be shared.

The policy is to not disclose anything regarding security.

🧵Sites and solvers often get a lot of backlash and in many cases, rightfully so.

But when it comes to security, poker sites can’t really share much.

The more they disclose, the more vulnerable they become.

They cant say: "Here is exactly how we found out and how you can get around next time."

Catching them is extremely hard in itself anyway.

Now those teams are also people too and with Coin, I happen to know them personally and for me it doesn't sit right if they are done wrong, and have to read such pitiful lies about them from a scammer.

Also biased, I like them better than "LazyAss."

Coin spends millions a year to improve the softwares/process to have deduction on the same level as the cheaters. I am sure GGPoker & WPT do the same, because to survive long term the players need to trust that you can protect them.

🧵Also, thank you to GTOWizard for providing the tools & proof to detect cheating.

For the community its essential that the most powerful solvers work together with the sites to protect the players.

The funds ofc don't belong to CoinPoker and obviously get redistributed to all the players who got taken advantage of.

Its extremely hard to catch the players. And obviously, I am an ambassador but here I hard to argue to be allow to post that.

What I can say confidently is that these topics are taken extremely seriously, and there’s major investment going into keeping the games clean and providing a safe space for players.

In the end this is essential for every site.

LazyAss: Fu for lying

Overwhelming Support From the Community & Reddit

Since a public outing like this is rare in online poker, there was a lot of eyes watching, and a lot of support at the conclusion.

Tony Dunst was happy to see openness.

The transparency pleased Beriuzy too.

On Reddit, judgement was mostly reserved on the first day, but not after proof hit the internet.

The r/CoinPoker moderator pinned a new comment after the evidence was revealed:

It turns out that the OP was cheating, using real-time assistance software which was cross-checked and time-stamped and he is guilty as charged.

In this case, SCREW THE CHEATER! Public shaming, confiscation of funds, return of confiscated funds to affected players are all great ways to handle this situation. Ultimately that is what CoinPoker did and that is why I have made this stickied post to clarify the record.

I think CoinPoker could have done a better job of getting ahead of this by releasing the proof as soon as this became public. They were slow to do so and it sowed confusion and discord among readers of this thread.

As it has always been and always will be, seizing funds from players without proof IS REALLY BAD PUBLIC RELATIONS and should be avoided as a business practice.

I realize that some methods of cheating detection need to be safeguarded in the everlasting game of cat and mouse among cheaters versus operators, but in this case, the cheating was easily proven with GTOW and should have been released for all to see as it isn't a secret and proprietary method of detecting cheating.

Also, props go out to GTO Wizard for collaborating with poker sites, ridding the player pool of cheating scumbags, and helping to keep online poker as pure as possible

I and the other Moderators of this subreddit applaud CoinPoker for actively catching cheaters and removing them from the poker ecosystem, as well as redistributing funds to cheated players. This is the correct action. Well done! (just do it sooner next time and avoid all this public relations drama!)

And suddenly, LazyAss was strangely silent. It's not clear why.

A few things that the player said are quite humorous in the aftermath. One of the funniest part of his Reddit post was saying that Nacho Barbero was one of his idols (since Nacho was also caught using GTOWizard during an online tournament). Perhaps, it was an inspirational moment for LazyAss?

Some of the other things written on Reddit are especially funny when we know now that LazyAss was using RTA:

  • "I’ve lost over 10,000 USDT that I legitimately won..."
  • "I want to warn others: If you choose to play on CoinPoker, be aware that this could happen to you."
  • "A one-sided accusation where they hold all the power (and my money), and I’m not even allowed to know what triggered it beyond some vague suspicion"
  • "Everything I’ve stated is backed by facts and my genuine personal experience."
  • "Stay safe out there, and good luck at the tables."

Thanks LazyAss, we'll try to stay safe.
