We'll be using effective rake, because it's a straightforward way to measure the fees poker sites charge. A raw percentage like net rake doesn't tell the whole story. There's rake cap and rakeback to factor in, but it's hard to calculate unless you've tested the poker sites (like we have).

2026 Poker Sites with the Lowest Micro-Stakes Rake
Rake at the micro-stakes level is often referred to as “unbeatable.”
The honest reason (in many cases) is that micro-stakes players are not as valuable to poker sites as the low, mid, and high-stakes cohort is. And, there are more players at micro-stakes. Running servers, hiring technicians, and supporting all those players come at a cost.
Unibet is one of the clear leaders here, along with sites like PokerStars EU, CoinPoker, PokerPlanets, and WPT Global.

2026 Poker Sites with the Lowest Low-Stakes Rake
Rake typically gets better as you play higher stakes, but we don’t see it dropping off until $0.50/$1, at least at the top poker sites.
Among the lowest rake poker sites for low-stakes games, WPT Global and PokerStars EU are at the top, followed by CoinPoker.
Out of the three, CoinPoker has the most straightforward rakeback system to offset rake even further. Among several of their CoinRewards benefits, the cash game leaderboards pay cash game players every two hours at these stakes, and completing for them is simple. Thousands and thousands of players can get paid every reset, proportional to rake.

2026 Poker Sites with the Lowest Mid-Stakes Rake
At mid-stakes cash games, we start to see rake drop significantly at the top poker sites.
From an average of 2.96% effective rake at $0.50/$1, we drop to 2.39% average effective rake at $1/$2. The poker sites are reducing their table fees because the dollar value offsets them more. Go up one level to $2.50/$5, and it drops even further to 1.55% average effective rake. At $5/$10, it’s down to 1.05%.
PokerStars is the clear leader for mid-stakes effective rake, though not far ahead of CoinPoker and Winning Poker Network sites like ACR Poker.

Everyone knows high-stakes games have less rake, and it’s true.
Among the top sites, the average $10/$20 effective rake is:
- around 5.4 times lower than effective rake at $0.10/$0.25
- around 4.6 times lower than effective rake at $0.50/$1
- around 3.7 times lower than effective rake at $1/$2
And then if you hop up to $25/$50, the effective rake is over 2.4 times lower.
Getting to this level isn’t easy, and you’ll definitely need to understand poker software to pick up an edge. But once you’ve arrived, you’ll be keeping significantly more of your winnings.
For this stake bracket, PokerStars, Winning Poker Network (ACR Poker), iPoker (RedStar Poker), and 888Poker have the lowest rake up to $25/$50.
