CoinPoker Transitions to "CoinRewards" After 100% Rakeback Promo

After a March relaunch and 100% Rakeback promotion that saw record traffic, CoinPoker changed their gears.

Starting April 1st, the site is no longer offering a fixed amount of rakeback. Now, they're offering you CoinRewards.

Over $1.5 million in weekly value will be distributed through a combination of leaderboards, cash drops, and a flat daily return. But as we move away from the straightforward 100% rakeback of March, the new structure requires a bit more navigation.

Another surprising move is their statement that 100% of rake at micro-stakes will be returned into the ecosystem.

We're going to break CoinRewards into each part, then look at the 100% rake return to the micro-stakes community.

Part 1: The $1,000,000 Weekly Cash Game Leaderboards

The most significant change is the scaling of CoinRaces. Before March, it had a $15,000 daily pool. Now, it's expanded into a $1,000,000 weekly prize pool (almost 10 times higher).

But there are a few more important changes, and here they are:

CoinRaces Before March 2026CoinRaces After March 2026
Prize Pool

$15,000 per day

$105,000 per week

~$140,000 per day

$1,000,000 per week

Leaderboard FrequencyLeaderboards reset every 4 hoursLeaderboards reset every 2 hours
Leaderboard StructureOne leaderboard for $100 buy-ins and above
One leaderboard for $50 buy-ins and below
(Two leaderboards every 4 hours)
Micro, Low, Mid, High leaderboards
Split between Hold'em and Omaha
(Eight different leaderboards every 2 hours)
Payout StructureTop 10 to 15 players paidThousands of top players split prizes proportionate to their rake
Payout TimingWithin 72 hours via P2PPrizes paid within minutes of a leaderboard ending

The benefits are clear.

  • The prize pool is almost ten times larger.
  • Resets are twice as fast, so you can grind for shorter sessions and then ease off the gas.
  • There's a much clearer division of leaderboards, rather than everyone competing for a few top positions.
  • Payouts for winners show up almost instantly once a leaderboard wraps up.

Previously, CoinRaces really only paid back a handful of top grinders every day. We can honestly say that now, the payouts are going to affect the community more.

In our play-test on a single table of PLO5 with a 40% VPIP, we secured a small leaderboard payout without even trying. On another leaderboard reset, we played only around 3/4 of the hour and received another small prize.

Part 2: $500,000 Weekly Splash Pots

CoinPoker is allocating $500,000 weekly to its "Infused Splash Pots" feature, their name for cash drops with added value. At any time, a golden chest can pop up, adding up to 1,000BB. Once that chest appears, everyone is guaranteed a prize of some sort.

This feature (in the non-infused form) takes a small part of the rake and adds it into a Splash Pool. In the "Infused" form running right now, CoinPoker adds $500,000 each week.

Unlike some "winner takes all" jackpot models, CoinPoker uses a split.

The split varies depending on the table and format. In some games, it's 40% to the winner and 60% split among the other players at the table. Prizes for the non-winners head straight to the balance.

While this adds excitement, it’s worth noting that this is a high-variance way to receive value. Unlike a flat rakeback percentage, your "earnings" here depend entirely on being at the right table at the right time. Everything is RNG-determined, from the timing down to the size of the Splash Pot.

In our play test, we experienced 3 Splash Pots in one hour at $0.10/$0.25 5-Card Omaha. These ranged from 6BB to 35BB. Seeing three in one hour could be slightly high, and that's important to point out.

Part 3: 15% Daily Guaranteed Rakeback

As a baseline, all players receive a 15% rakeback. This is the traditional rakeback that every real-money game generates.

Let's say you put in some volume during the day (calculated from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC). The next day at 07:00 UTC, 15% of all of your rake from cash games or tournaments will be waiting inside your Wallet's Reward Balance.

While it’s automated and requires no opt-in, 15% is on the lower side for "guaranteed" industry standards, meaning the bulk of your value must come from the races and drops. Looking at the rakeback alone, it might look like CoinPoker is underserving their players, but it's not exactly the full picture.

Check how many Coins (rake) you generate and then compare to rewards.

In our play test, we generated 36.48 Coins ($36.48 in rake) over April 1 and April 2. In rewards from CoinRaces, Splash, and the 15% rakeback, we received $22.65 over this time period.

  • ~$12 came from Splash Pots
  • ~$6 came from CoinRaces
  • ~$5 came from daily rakeback

That's 62% rakeback after totaling the rewards. Obviously, we might have scored highly with Splash pots here.

100% Rake Returned to the Micro Stakes Community

CoinPoker has vouched to give back all of their profits at the micro-stakes level (for stakes up to $0.02/$0.05 and MTTs under $5).

Several ambassadors jumped the gun or read emails wrong and stated "100% rakeback," but its actually 100% of rake being given back across the entire micro-stakes player pool.

Without being biased, we can say this is fairly unheard of. One of the most common things we hear about micro-stakes is that the rake is disproportionally high compared to high-stakes (at least at some sites). Even though CoinPoker is not guaranteeing that everyone will get 100% rakeback, it's quite a surprising move.

Apparently, giving 100% back will be done by sizing cash game leaderboards and Splash Pot rewards. Micro-stakes players will still get the same 15% rakeback as everyone else, but should see additional money flowing in through CoinRaces and Splash Pots.

There's not too much to say about this, and it's a difficult move to critique.

Some players will see well over 100% rakeback, while others will get less. We'll have to hear back from CoinPoker players over the month to see how this feels at the tables.

CoinPoker is the first truly successful crypto poker room to stand the test of time. Players trust the site: in 2022 some of the biggest pots in online poker history were played here, and in 2024 and 2025 CoinPoker hosted high-stakes cash game championships.

High Stakes Rewards at $50/$100 and Up

High rollers got a reward system refresh as well. At the $50/$100 cash games and above, different player types receive different benefits.

  • Action Rewards: This reward is apparently for the VIP's. For creating action and possibly facing off with more skilled opponents, CoinPoker is going to split the table profits. The site's page says, "our action players are highly valued and are rewarded 50% of the table profit from high-stakes games they choose to participate in."
  • Battle Rewards: For professionals or semi-pros, the reward system is quite different. Instead of a profit share from the total rake generated, these players will just receive abnormally high rakeback, "returning up to 90% of the value generated at the table."

Both of these rewards get paid weekly, but CoinPoker looks to make daily payments in the future. All-In or Fold games are not included.

Our Honest Review of All New CoinPoker Rewards

It's early days, and only time will tell if these rewards are well-received by CoinPoker's players. But according to the player count after April 1, it hasn't been disappointing many competitors from the tables.

CoinRewards:
What matters most to players is not the excitement of getting these rewards, nor the surprise factor. Seeing golden chests flash on the screen is great, but not if we check our rake vs rakeback each week and see disappointing numbers. So if CoinRaces, Splash, and the daily rakeback return a decent amount each day, everyone's happy. They surely did in our short play test, but more testing is needed. One major flaw is the lack of tournament rakeback or rewards. CoinPoker has mentioned future ticket discounts and added value, but has not revealed anything yet. For now, it's just 15% rakeback.

100% Rake Returned to Micro-Stakes Community:
On the subject of 100% micro-stakes rake being distributed back, that's praiseworthy. As long as the mechanisms are fair and 100% is truly coming back into the player pool, this is a stand-out move. It's also a good business move for CoinPoker. If they raise a portion of players up from the micro-stakes and attract more at the same time, that's a win.

High Stakes Poker Rewards:
Most players won't be affected by this, but for high-rollers looking for a haven, it matters. As we've heard over the last year, closing down or privatizing high-stakes games at certain top poker rooms was not a popular move. Recognizing what VIPs bring to the table is a good move as well, since they're the lifeblood of many games at this level. This reward system will hopefully bring out new competitors and bring legends back to the tables for some epic clashes.
