Poker Twitter had barely recovered from Kristen Foxen's huge fold when a new topic of heated discussion arose.

On the latest episode of High Stakes Poker Live, Andrew Robl folded the second nut on the river.

Here's how it went down:

$500/$1k, Eric Wasserson straddles to $2k, Justin Gavri with open raised to $5k, Senor Tilt in the SB called with , Robl defended the big blind with .

The flop was checked to Gavri, who bet $8k into an $18k pot. Senor Tilt called. Robl decided to raise to $35k.

"If Gavri calls, he almost doesn't want to see another heart," veteran commentator Nick Shulman told viewers.

Gavri called, Senor Tilt folded.

The turn was a , and it went check-check.

“Gavri doubling up guys. Vicious for Robl,” Shulman declared without a doubt when the appeared on the river.

"I would imagine Robl's going to bet?" his partner, Brent Hanks, asked.

Andrew overbet $125k into a $96k pot. Gavri quickly went all-in. Robl chuckled.

“Look, for some reason he hasn’t called yet,” Hanks was surprised.

– He will pay, but what he thinks confirms how good he is.

– If he does throw it out, it will be one of the best passes in history.

"He's definitely not slowrolling. He's probably really thinking about folding," Shulman said as Robl's thoughts dragged on. "It's impossible to fold; if it does happen, we'll be witnessing the greatest fold in the history of TV games. But I still don't believe it."

"I don't want to be embarrassed," Robl laughed. "Sometimes it's better to call and lose. You got ?"

After a few moments he threw it away.

"Wow!" Shulman exclaimed. "The best fold of all time. I don't care what anyone else has to say. Thats the greatest fold of all time in a cash game."

Doug Polk said in his video analysis, "Just an incredible fold from Robl. And this isn't my obviously biased opinion, but I think this is probably the best fold ever when you consider the size of the raise and the fact it's the second nuts with a flush on the river. In my hand versus Phil Helmuth, there are way more combinations of straight. So, not to try and not get myself credit, but in my opinion, this is the best fold we've ever seen on televised poker."

The comments to the giveaway were filled with admiring reviews.

Josh Arieh: "What the fuck! Robl just plays a diff game than the rest of us."

Noah Schwartz: "Robl is a special talent & a brilliant mind, also knowing that Robl has played thousands of hours with Gavri he knows he isn’t shoving a ten high flush & vs that sizing he may not even shove a Jack high flush . Still a quite impressive fold in the moment . He may not get invited back after that fold lol."

Gary Blackwood: "The Chuck Norris of poker."

Some sympathized with Gavri:

"Was only $175k more into $510k and still mucked it – absolutely wild but that’s Robl for ya 👀"

However, not everyone liked the fold.

"That's a terrible fold," said a certain J.P. Riley, unimpressed. "When you beat some value and all bluffs, you cannot let your hand go. Sometimes you're just meant to pay them off."

"i mean, big fold but praising this play like he's a super human," wrote TripleBarrelTV. "Gavri is never bluffing here when he jams for this much more lol, sick fold but i've seen better ones forsure... 💤 Keating is more entertaining than anyone in this lineup."

"Not really that impressive. The nit is shoving on top of an overbet on the river when the front door flush comes in. You only beat bluffs. He’s a nit so he has no bluffs here (he’s never doing this with just the Kh). J high flush is a massive overplay. Easy fold by that logic."

Fedor Holz also didn't see anything extraordinary in the pass:

– Hot take:

Andrew Robl seems like a great guy.

The fold is kind of trivial for a strong and disciplined player (well done).

Trivial in a theoretical sense of the spot + how players generally play it + how this player likely plays it.

Still a great fold and shows he’s sharp, lots of regs would auto-call.

Patrick Leonard joined in the analysis:

– It was a good fold. A great fold even. World class even! But after checking X this morning I thought he must have folded a 2 card straight flush vs a royal or something! He overbet river and folded vs a raise after raising a FD multiway and turn checking through... Smartest take away in the hand is bet big enough that opponent only ever jams the nuts vs your bet so you can get away without worrying about opponent over valuing a hand.

“Yeah I did this with KK and got told how bad it was.,” complained Lonis.

"Noticed, Jesse always makes it about Jesse," one of the commenters couldn't resist.

Erik Seidel considers retirement, Jesse Lonis explains his wrongfully folded set, Patrick Leonard debates the Mystery Bounty format, and other short news.

After reading all the critical posts, a disheveled Nick Shulman responded with an angry video from his car:

"That's right," Ashby replied. "You fold and laugh because your opponent always has the nuts. I'm not taking anything away from Robl; folding isn't that easy. But I can't think of a single hand he'd bluff with. He'll never raise with worse flushes after an overbet. I'm sure Robl knew he was folding the moment he heard 'all-in.' He just decided to put on a little show, which was entirely justified."

"My reign at PokerGo Studios is over," wrote this week's hero, Andrew Robl. "My reign of terror at the PokerGo studio has come to the end, lost 3M straight there this year. Eric is the new king 👑. Silver lining is I got to impress the goat Nick Schulman with this one."
