At the beginning of the year, we did a detailed review of BCPoker.
We noted two key advantages: a client powered by its own engine (which developers are willing to refine and add new features to), and a substantial marketing budget for BCPoker promotions.
A month and a half later, both points have been confirmed.
Some of the issues we mentioned in the test drive have already been fixed:
- The room now features proper multi-tabling for four tables.
- Synchronization between the mobile and desktop clients has been optimized.
- The bet slider has been fixed.
- Quick seating at tables has been added (while the ability to select a specific table remains).
- The hand replayer now allows you to view the entire hand.
- Overall, the software has become faster and smoother.

In mid-February, BCPoker announced the Be.Champ series with an impressive prize pool of $150,000 for a small poker room, along with very affordable buy-ins: almost all tournaments are under $5, and the more expensive ones are easily qualified for through satellites.
The series boasts impressive overlays. A couple of examples: the daily $250 Bounty PKO Action at $3.3 usually attracts 30-40 entries. There are even more impressive ones: the regular Daily Party Classic at $3.3 doesn't even attract half the guaranteed entry. The tournament runs twice daily, and the most recent evening event attracted only 161 participants—511 overlays!
In more expensive tournaments, the overlays are not much smaller: in one of the Sunday $6,500 Sunday Gems for $30, the organizer had to add $2,400 to the prize pool.
We played several series tournaments and found that the field hasn't worsened at all over the past month and a half: the opponents at the tables still stand out for their geographical diversity and skill level. For example, at the $3 Daily Party, the 6-max table played like a 4-max table—two opponents confidently folded 100% of their hands, without sitting out and occasionally considering their moves.

It wasn't easy to see the usual 22 VPIP / 17 PFR: limps, 6-7bb raises, and cold-calling 3-bets were common here.
Preflop shoving wasn't shy either. Shortly before the ITM, we raised early, the button called, and the big blind shoved 50bb with . But there were plenty of more creative hands, too:

On March 7, the room will host the series' largest tournament, the BCPoker Apex, with a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool. Tickets cost $50, but you can save money by participating in daily qualifiers of 5. Overlays are also available, but smaller.
