At the Triton series in Korea, Kaihan Mokri won the $150,000 buy-in tournament.

He was supposed to play heads-up with Ossi Ketola that same day, but he pulled out.
The Finnish high roller did not appreciate this behavior :
– Verified sources have confirmed that after having dinner, Kayhan declared that he is ”tired after the tournament” and went on his way to commit to a disgraceful and an unsportsmanslike act of ”sleeping” instead of hunting the fish.
My official stance on the matter is that he’s a pussy ass bitch.
If Foxen refuses to play tonight I will officially crash out.
"Too much dopamine + snus gets you smoked," Kayhan confirmed. "I’m ready to go day n night tomorrow papi, hugs n kisses xoxo big mac."
Foxen, who had lost $3 million the day before, also refused to play that day, but Ossi played several matches with Elias Talvitie.
The Triton Main Event was won by Christoph Vogelsang.

His final table appearance once again sparked a lively debate on Twitter.
— "How is this legal?" Will Jaffe asks, confused.

— "Any professional HS player has no problem with Vogelsang covering himself as he pleases," said Juan Pardo, high-stakes player. "Any of us who play it can do it, but we choose not to for convenience or whatever. We are on equal terms by free choice. I personally admire his discipline, focus, and ability to concentrate on each hand, as well as how methodical he is."
Sam Greenwood supported Pardo:
— "Tough Conversation with Sam Greenwood: Will Jaffe get some new material"
— "You have no problem with it?"
— "On the list of things I have a problem with, this ranks below people not pushing their chips far enough into the pot and making dealers reach all the way across table to rake in a c-bet."
— "Nobody cares about his appearance, the important thing is that he makes decisions quickly," wrote Joseph Cheong. "And he plays much faster now than before. Besides, the casinos in Jeju are insanely hot; I don't even understand how he plays dressed like that."
Daniel Negreanu reminded everyone that this type of play is not allowed at the WSOP:
– It is not at WSOP
Current rule is you can cover 2 out of 3:
- Eyes
- Mouth
- Neck
This covers all three.
Most don’t know about the rule but I had the floor force him to edit the costume.
Christoph is a very nice man, btw, but this should not be allowed obviously.
I propose changing it to one of three.
— "Ya didn’t realize this was a thing until this summer when was slightly under the weather on a day 2 and wore a mask," Jeremy Ausmus recalled. "Also had hood on cause was freezing and sunglasses (cause I’m really cool). Anyways they busted my ass! Probably a good rule 👍🏼."
— "Ha, you're probably the only person in history who had good reason to hide all three."
The BetMGM Poker Millionaire Main Event at the Borgata Casino offered two guarantees: a $3 million total prize pool and a $1 million first-place prize.
As a result, the payouts at the final table were as follows:

— "Can we just stop with the gimmicky payouts?" Adam Hendricks said indignantly.
— "I mean they guaranteed $1mm FTW on a 3mm prize pool. That literally WAS the gimmick," Vin Pahuya echoed. "And only paid 10% in order to make it remotely feasible. What did you honestly expect? It’s not like u see 7 figure GTD for 1st place very often- I think this is one off event not a regular thing"
— "I don’t want first place GTD tournaments. I expect venues not to do this. Borgata did it before, WSOP has done it multiple times."
— "Especially since they were advertising that the usual payout structure wouldn't change," Matt Matros recalled. "And whatever money needed to be added to first, would be added to make first $1 million. But in the end they didn't add anything."
The $5,300 buy-in tournament attracted 670 entries. However, the winner never received the million-dollar payout, with Ardit Kurshumi and Chance Kornuth splitting the $1 million heads-up.

Maria Ho recalled knocking out Alan Keating in the 2007 WSOP Main Event with KJ against his AQ.
The nostalgic video has garnered 200,000 views.
Throwback from the 2007 WSOP Main Event. Day 5, with around 100 players remaining when a fresh-faced straight outta college aspiring #poker pro faces off against a 21-year-old baby-faced Alan Keating. We were kids chasing the dream, kinda wild to think we’re both still playing all these years later."
— "Wow broke Keating hits different," Andrew Teng wrote. "would tell us about how Keating was flat broke, sleeping on a mattress on the floor of a friend's spare room but always take home the hottest girls u ever saw."
Beriuzy accidentally won the tournament :

– "Mystery bounties are fucking stupid.
Which is why I mostly skip them.Thankfully, ACR software is so confusing that I didn't even know MB = Mystery Bounty...
I only found out on the bubble...
Solid result🤣🤣"
Patrick Leonard isn't thrilled with the format either :
– "Fuck Mystery Bounties and Arteta. Two worst things on the planet."

Dominik Nitsche played the $25k bracelet event from a plane:

– "Blinded out for half an hour at the end because airplane wifi still isn't reliable in 2025. Oops."
"No big deal just one million and a bracelet up top. Spin up tomorrow GGPoker?"
– "Too rich."
– "Just giving my opponents a little bit of a chance."
Dominic ended up eliminated in 9th place, and Fakhretdin Mustafov beat Artem Lasovsky in heads-up .

– A few days later, Dominic won the Sunday Super High Roller tournament.

– I’m glad I didn’t have to fly anywhere this time.
Jungleman's wallet was stolen.
– "Beat, brag, variance:
Recently my wallet got stolen and I managed to get the thief to mail me it back with my ID, lol
They did keep the money! I think this is evidence of my negotiation skills haha."
– "In my early 20s I lost my wallet at a strip club," Doug Polk recalled. "It showed up at a police station a year later with the cash ($2000?) Still in it.
This might be the hottest I've ever run in my life."
Ben Rolle won the WSOP Online Main Event for $3.9 million. He celebrated his victory in a restrained German way, and then continued grinding the next day as if nothing special had happened.

– “Why don’t you chill?” “Why don’t you take a break?”
Comments I’ve seen a lot the past few days.
From what? From playing a game I love?
Of course I’ll celebrate this victory. I’m beyond grateful. But I don’t need a break. I don’t need “extra motivation” to keep grinding.
$11, $44, or $10,000 Tournaments – it doesn’t matter. I love the game. Across all stakes.
I still hate myself for butchering a heads-up yesterday that cost me a $5,000 pay jump.
That’s why most players struggle to win at poker. They make it about money. For me, nothing has changed. Same game. Same struggles. Same ups and downs. The money is just a byproduct.
One of my favorite quotes comes from Bill Walsh:
“The result will take care of itself.”Some people think I sound arrogant – “Wow, he doesn’t care that he won $4,000,000.”
No. I know exactly how much luck was involved. I had to run exceptionally well. That's why I will continue to work hard and persevere.Again, I will take my days to celebrate. But in my mind nothing has changed. No extra motivation is needed.
If you make some money and you need extra motivation to keep grinding, you will fail.
It is hard to become successful. It is a lot harder to stay successful.
You will never hit the perfect balance between "chilling" and "hustling".
So I prefer being on the side of people thinking "wow he works too hard" or "wow he should chill a bit".As long as that is the case. It is all good.
Nick Shulman celebrated his 41st birthday:
— "Can't ask for more on my birthday. Truly blessed. Another win. She sat down with composure and confidence, and now she's in tears. There are levels to this."
