OK POKER Review for Quebec: Everything Players Need to Know
OK POKER is a fully regulated online poker site run solely for the players in Quebec, Canada. Anyone living outside the province cannot play, and will not be able to pass verification. As the only poker room authorized in Quebec, OK POKER offers a unique level of trust and security to players.
The room first launched in 2010, merged with the British Columbia PlayNow network in 2011, then combined with Manitoba in 2013. On OK POKER, you sit with players from all three provinces.
The site offers an impressively wide range of formats:
- No Limit, Pot Limit, and Fixed Limit Hold’em
- Fixed Limit, Pot Limit, and Hi-Lo Omaha
- Fixed Limit 7-Card and 5-Card Stud
- Various Draw Poker Formats
We’re going to give a full walkthrough of how to play real money games on OK POKER, from sign-up and using the cashier, to everything gameplay-related.
How to Download OK Poker’s App
The OK POKER app is compatible with:
- Windows
- macOS
- iOS (Apple iPhones)
- Android (Smartphones)
- Android tablets
Players can download OK POKER apps directly from the Espacejeux website.

When downloading the OK POKER app on mobile devices (especially the OK POKER android app) your operating system may warn you about the file or block the download. Simply bypass or temporarily switch these blockers off to continue the download and installation.
How to Login to OK POKER & Play
Signing up for OK POKER is simple, but certain conditions are non-negotiable:
- You must be 18 or older
- You must reside in Quebec and be physically located in the province when playing
- You must enable geolocation so Loto-Québec can verify your location
- You must be able to verify your residence
Without meeting all of the conditions, you won’t be able to sit down for any of the games on OK POKER. Some players might think that a simple VPN could get around these roadblocks, but that is not the case. On top of that, it could lead to serious issues when cashing out, even if initially successful.
We’d advise players not to try and get around these restrictions, and select another trusted online poker site instead.

If you are a resident of Quebec, follow the steps below to create your OK POKER account.
- Create an Espacejeux Account. To play on the OK POKER app, you must first have an account with Espacejeux, the operator of OK POKER. This part is just like setting up a new email address, or signing up for Netflix. Firstly, enter your name, email address, and a Canadian phone number.
- Confirm Your Identity. This is where the OK POKER sign-up process gets more complex. You’ll need to enter an address in Quebec, and then confirm it using documents from your financial institution.
- Download OK POKER. When your identity has been confirmed, you’ll need to log in directly to OK POKER. The OK POKER download is available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, or Android tablets directly from the Espacejeux website.
- Complete the Installation. After the OK POKER download, installing the app takes less than a minute. Select your operating system, and follow simple on-screen instructions. Open the application afterwards. If you face any issues, check that your firewall is not obstructing the download.
- Log In to OK POKER. Using the Espacejeux credentials that you set up in Step 1 and Step 2, log in directly from the OK POKER application.
If your identity has not been confirmed yet, you will get an error message. If everything has been confirmed, you’re in, and it’s time to check out the many poker games inside.

Important Note: The language settings inside the OK POKER application do not function properly (at the time of writing, September 2026). Toggling to English (Anglais) from French (Français) does not change the language within the application, until you restart the app again.
OK POKER Cash Games
Despite slightly low traffic, OK POKER’s lineup of cash game formats is very similar to bigger rooms like PokerStars. You’ll find everything from the ultra-popular Texas Hold’em to niche games like Stud and Draw Poker.

All of the formats and stakes are here:
| Format | Stakes (CAD) | Table Size |
|---|---|---|
| No Limit Texas Hold’em (NLH) | $0.02/$0.04 to $25/$50 | Heads-Up + 6-Max + 9-Max |

| Pot Limit Texas Hold’em (PLH) | $0.02/$0.04 to $10/$20 | 6-Max + 9-Max |
| Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) | $0.15/$0.30 to $25/$50 | Heads-Up + 6-Max + 9-Max |
| Fixed Limit Omaha (FLO) | $0.15/$0.30 to $25/$50 | 6-Max + 9-Max |
| Pot Limit Hi/Lo Omaha (PLO8) | $0.05/$0.10 to $20/$40 | Heads-Up + 6-Max + 9-Max |
| Fixed Limit Hi/Lo Omaha (FLO8) | $0.15/$0.30 to $20/$40 | 6-Max + 9-Max |

OK POKER Tournaments
The real money tournaments on OK POKER have buy-ins ranging from $0.55 CAD buy-ins for $50 CAD GTDs all the way up to $320 CAD buy-ins for $125,000 CAD GTDs. Most tournaments are No-Limit Texas Hold’em, with a handful in Pot-Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo.
The Omaha tournaments don’t seem to get above $100 CAD guarantees, and the buy-ins aren’t above $5.50 CAD. It’s clear that the room’s liquidity only supports Hold’em at this time.
OK POKER Freerolls
To find the real money OK POKER freerolls, just open the Tournaments tab and sort by the buy-in. The freeroll selection is surprisingly good. OK POKER offers $10 freerolls every hour from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., except at 10 p.m., when a $25 freeroll takes place. Its loyalty schedule also includes weekly $150 and $400 RH Freerolls, requiring 100 and 200 raked hands respectively, plus a monthly $1,000 RH Freeroll requiring 400 raked hands. The lobby also features Freebuy tournaments, which may allow paid rebuys or add-ons.

With only a few hundred players active at any given time on OK POKER, those $1,000 CAD guarantees offer incredible value against a miniature field.
OK POKER Sit and Gos
OK POKER offers Sit and Go (SNG) tournaments, but they aren’t much of an option due to the site traffic. At the time we checked (about 1 PM Montreal Time), there was no action inside the lobby except for 1 or 2 players. Buy-ins range from $0.55 CAD to $515 CAD.
There are some interesting types here, like 25-hand SNG, where the top three stacks win after the hand limit is hit. Another quirky type is the 25-minute SNG, where the top three stacks win after reaching the time limit. Classic types like double-or-nothing, turbo, and heads-up are also in the lobby.
All of the formats are supported, but it’s unlikely you’ll get to play in the 8-player or even 5-player SNGs. The best possible chance would be on the weekend.
OK POKER Spin and Gos
Spin and Go tournaments on OK POKER are called Slot & Go, and these either have two or three players per table. The only format is No-Limit Texas Hold’em.
Buy-ins run from $1 to $25, but player traffic is an issue here as well. Typically, spins are difficult for smaller poker sites to run.
OK POKER Bonus, Promotions, & Rakeback
OK POKER is a smaller poker room, and that does have an effect on the promotions they host.
The Sign Up No Deposit Bonus. For new players, registering unlocks a $30 CAD bonus. To get it, your account must be verified, which means submitting your documents to confirm that you’re a resident of Quebec.

This bonus money can be used for any game, including casino or sports betting, but it cannot be withdrawn.
$20,000 Rake Race Leaderboards. The rake race on OK POKER rewards cash game and tournament players who pay the most rake during the month. However, rake paid in heads-up cash games does not count toward the leaderboard. The scoring period runs from the 1st of each month to the 1st of the following month, ending at 2:59 a.m. EST or 3:59 a.m. EDT, depending on the season.

OK POKER Bad Beat Jackpot (Heartbreak Hand). To win the Heartbreak Hand, usually called the bad beat jackpot, you must lose with quad eights or better. There is also a smaller version of the Heartbreak Hand, which pays if you lose with quad twos, up to quad sevens. You must use both of your cards, and for quads (four of a kind), one of your cards is not allowed to be a kicker. You must hold a pair, and create quads with that pair. The payout breakdown for the OK POKER bad beat jackpot are:
| 50% | The losing hand |
| 25% | The winning hand |
| 25% | All other players dealt in for the hand |
High Hand Jackpot. The high hand jackpot on OK POKER is made by any hand stronger than a straight flush from 6 to 10.You must use both cards in your hand, there must be at least four players in the hand, and it must go past preflop. The high hand payouts mostly go to the winner, but everyone dealt in gets paid:
| 75% | The player with the high hand |
| 25% | All other players dealt in for the hand |
The contribution players make to the high hand pool is $0.03 per hand, and the entire amount is redistributed to players.
Rakeback (PxP Points). Rakeback on OK POKER is not something you can cashout or add to your balance. Instead, it can be used to buy into tournaments.
$0.25 CAD Raked = 1 PXP Point
You convert these points into tournament credits (these function like real money for buying into tournaments) at a rate of 1,000 PxP accumulated = $10 in tournament credits. You can also use them directly on specific events.
Unfortunately, this all means that OK POKER rakeback is extremely low. If $1 CAD gives you 4 PXP Points, and you need 1,000 PXP Points for $10 of tournament credits, that means you need to rake $250 CAD for a $10 return. The extra value for regulars on OK POKER will come from the $20,000 rake race leaderboards.
Rake on OK POKER
OK POKER generally charges 5% rake on cash game pots, although some stakes have different rates. For example, the lowest No-Limit and Pot-Limit tables ($0.02/$0.04) have a 10% rake. The maximum amount collected per hand depends on the stakes, betting structure, and number of players.
Here is the official OK POKER cash game rake structure:
| Game Type | Stakes (CAD) | Players | Rake | Cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No-Limit / Pot-Limit | $0.02/$0.04 | 2–10 | 10% | $3 |

| No-Limit / Pot-Limit | $0.12/$0.25 – $25/$50 | 2–4 | 5% | $1.50 |
| No-Limit / Pot-Limit | $0.12/$0.25 – $25/$50 | 5–10 | 5% | $3 |
| No-Limit / Pot-Limit | $50/$100+ | 2–3 | 5% | $2 |
| No-Limit / Pot-Limit | $50/$100+ | 4–10 | 5% | $5 |
| Fixed Limit | $0.10/$0.20 | 2–10 | 5% | $1.50 |
| Fixed Limit | $0.25/$0.50 | 2–10 | 5% | $1.50 |
| Fixed Limit | $0.50/$1 – $1/$2 | 2–10 | 5% | $1.50 |
| Fixed Limit | $2/$4 – $10/$20 | 2–10 | 5% | $3 |
| Fixed Limit | $15/$30 – $50/$100 | 2–10 | $0.50 at each pot threshold* | $3 |
| Fixed Limit | $100/$200+ | 2–3 | 1% | $2 |
| Fixed Limit | $100/$200+ | 4–10 | 1% | $5 |
For Fixed Limit games from 15/30 to 50/100, $0.50 is collected when the pot reaches $30, $40, $50, $70, $85, and $100, up to the $3 cap. Rake is collected in fixed increments, and no rake is taken if a hand ends during the first betting round.
For tournaments, including MTTs and Sit & Gos, the registration fee is capped at 10% of the amount contributed to the prize pool. For example, a $10 + $1 tournament has a $10 contribution to the prize pool and a $1 fee.
You can also use our rake comparison tool to compare cash game fees at other poker rooms.
