PLO AfterParty & New High Stakes World Championship

The World Championship of Omaha Cash Games on CoinPoker has crowned the strongest player. Godfromstock emerged victorious, winning 137,683 EV and 150,000 in 40,809 hands.

Sergey Nesterenko shared his detailed impressions of the championship on our international forum:

It was very interesting! Special thanks to the guys who played an insane amount of hands, like Zagez, who played 113,000 hands in a month. I hope he took a magnesium course after that. Quite a few truly skilled players showed up; eight of them, in my opinion, played very tightly – it was a real pleasure to play them. Incidentally, it's quite interesting that all eight players differed greatly from each other in terms of stats and range content. This tells us that even the best PLO minds haven't reached a consensus on how to interpret even the most basic spots, and also that the skill pool, the amount of further growth, is simply endless (which is a good thing).

Third-place finisher cumicon stands out: after 42,299 hands, he lost $62,500—even though his EV was 77.3. Another clear lesson in the ruthlessness of variance in Omaha.

To celebrate the end of the championship, CoinPoker announced an after-party and increased the daily prize pool for rake races from $12,000 to $17,000 until November 17th.

Hold'em and Omaha tables (including five-card Omaha) are played, and points are awarded for rake paid in the big blinds of the limit.

There are two leaderboards:

• for stakes of 0.01/0.02 – 0.25/0.5 ($3,000 per day)
• for limits 0.50/1 and higher ($14,000, up from $9,000)

The day is divided into 4-hour segments with their own prize fund.

Prizes are paid out via P2P transfer to your personal account from your Leaderboard account within 72 hours of the end of the qualifying period.

And on November 10th, a new World Championship kicks off—this time for Hold'em at high stakes. It will run until December 7th. Play will be at $50/$100 6-max tables (without ante and with 0.17 BB ante), and there is no rake. The minimum buy-in is 100 BB.

The winner will be determined by the highest EV (a minimum of 20,000 hands must be played at tables with three or more players). Prizes will be awarded to the top five players, with the winner receiving a Rolex watch worth $35,000.

Every Sunday (17:00 GMT time) there will be a $50/$100 game (with an ante of 0.33 BB) with five participants from the previous week:

• To the biggest losers
• To those who played the most interesting hand
• Those who played the most hands
• The player with the largest EV deficit
• The winner of the drawing among streamers who played 2 hours with open cards as part of the championship on their broadcast

The qualifying period ends at 11:59 GMT time every Saturday. The winning hand will be automatically displayed at all championship tables.

The online leg of the annual Asian Poker Tour series, featuring a $25,000,000 prize pool, continues at GGPoker until November 17th. The schedule includes 20 trophy tournaments and several hundred side events, with many buy-ins paid in Asian currencies (if your account is in dollars, the conversion is automatic).

The main tournament, which costs 800, will award 3,000,000, with the final day taking place on November 16 at 1:05 PM GMT time (numerous flights will help you get in). Super Classic Series with €250,000 GTD
