General Information

SwC Poker is a pioneer of Bitcoin poker. The internal currency is microBTC. One µBTC is one-millionth of a Bitcoin.

The room launched in 2012. In 2015, operations were halted due to a criminal case in the U.S. against the project’s founder. That same year it relaunched under a new brand. A significant part of the player base comes from the United States.

SwC Poker is an independent operator and does not belong to any poker network. The official website uses a .club domain.

SwC is an abbreviation for Seals With Clubs, the poker room’s brand name before 2015. Literally, it means “seals with clubs.” It’s a play on the phrase “seal clubbing”, which describes hunting seals with clubs. In slang, it also refers to experienced players easily crushing beginners. Here, however, the “weapons” are in the seals’ own hands, so the recreational players are symbolically protected.

The room runs on software from EvenBet Gaming, a legit platform focused on browser-based online poker. The software has been tested by independent labs Gaming Labs International (GLI) and iTech Labs. Native clients are available for Windows and macOS, and there is a dedicated Android mobile app.

Bonuses and Promotions

As of late 2025, SwCPoker does not offer a welcome bonus. However, several ongoing promos are listed on the site.

Leaderboard. Runs for one month with interim standings calculated weekly. Five players finish in the money. The weekly winner receives 3,000 chips, and at the end of the month they also get 12,500 chips.

“No rake on micro stakes”. This promotion applies to cash-game blinds up to 0.1/0.2 in microBTC (the site’s chips), which is roughly equivalent to $0.01/$0.02.

Daily freerolls. Free tournaments run every two hours. Prize pools are 100 or 200 chips. The top 10 finishers are in the money. The average field size is under 100 entries.

Bad Beat Jackpot. To win the jackpot, you must lose a hand with a full house AAAKK or quads in Texas Hold’em. At the end of 2025, the Bad Beat Jackpot exceeded 200,000 chips, which is roughly $22,000. The losing player receives 35% of the jackpot, the winner of the hand gets 20%, 15% is split among the other players at the table, 10% goes to the house as a fee, and the rest is rolled over into the next jackpot.

Loyalty Program

The VIP system is called Krill Rewards and has 16 tiers. Maximum rakeback is 50%, while the minimum — available immediately to all new players — is 5%. You move up the ladder by accumulating points awarded for every raked hand. VIP levels are permanent and never expire. Rakeback is not paid automatically: you receive compensation by converting points into cash.

Game Selection

The game selection at SwC Poker is even wider than at PokerStars. Here is what you can play:

• No-Limit and Limit Texas Hold’em
• Crazy Pineapple — a Hold’em variant with three hole cards; you must discard one after the flop
• Pot-Limit and Fixed-Limit Omaha (four-, five-, and six-card), including high-low split
• Drawmaha — an Omaha variant where you can draw new hole cards after the flop
• Short Deck Hold’em with a 36-card deck
• Seven Card Stud, including high-low split
• 2–7 Lowball
• Mixed games with 8 or 12 different variants
• Open-Face Chinese Poker

6-max and 9-max tables are available, there are also heads-up tables in the lobby. Blinds start at $0.01/0.02 and go as high as $5,000/10,000 (in chips).

The Run It Twice feature is available, allowing the board to be dealt twice. Tables linked to the Bad Beat Jackpot make up less than 10% of all cash-game tables. There are no ante or straddle games. There is no fast-fold format for cash games. Neither can you play in a practice mode with play money chips.

Tournaments

The schedule includes MTTs for almost every game type offered. The minimum buy-in is 10 chips and the maximum is 3,000 chips. Most tournaments have fast structures with blind levels increasing every 3 or 5 minutes. Up to four re-entries are allowed. Knockout formats with bounties are relatively rare.

Sit & Go tournaments are very popular in the room. Buy-in ranges are similar to MTTs. SnG structures are also fast, and there is a wide selection of heads-up games. SwC Poker does not offer spin-style 3-max Jackpot Sit & Gos.

Rake and Rakeback

SwCPoker boasts of some of the lowest rake rates in the industry. The standard online rule applies: if the flop is not dealt, no rake is taken. The table below shows rake in chips (µBTC).

In tournaments without guarantees, the fee is 5%. In guaranteed events it can go up to 6%. In Sit & Gos, the fee is up to 2% depending on the buy-in. In Fixed-Limit games popular with American players, rake ranges from 2% to 5%.

Registration

The room accepts players from all countries. The registration form has four fields:

• Screen name — this will also serve as your login.
• Password for future logins — at least 12 characters.
• E-mail address.
• Promo code.

You also need to choose the lobby language. The options are English, Spanish, and Russian. There is no need to confirm your e-mail. As of 2025, the promo or referral code doesn’t provide any extra value because the room runs very few bonuses/promotions.

The room’s management strongly supports anonymous online poker, so no KYC or identity verification is required. In your account settings you can change your password and e-mail, and you can enable two-factor authentication for both login and withdrawals.

Playing on Smartphones and Tablets

You can download the mobile client directly from the Bitcoin poker room’s website. It is not available in official app stores. The standalone app is offered only for Android. You can also play without installing anything by using the SwC Poker website in your mobile browser.

Deposits and Withdrawals

All financial transactions are carried out exclusively in Bitcoin. For every deposit, the room generates a new wallet address. The minimum deposit is 0.01 µBTC, which is less than one U.S. cent.

Funds are not credited instantly. The speed depends on the current load on the Bitcoin network and typically ranges from 5 to 30 minutes.

SwC Poker does not charge any deposit fees, but you will always incur the blockchain processing fee. It is deducted from the deposit amount and averages around $1.50, though it can reach $10 at peak times.

The minimum withdrawal is 500 µBTC, which is approximately $50 at the time of writing. Cryptocurrency payouts reach your wallet within 3–6 hours.
