At the beginning of the year, CoinPoker was trying to find out the best cash game player on the planet. Then, after a month at the NL10,000 tables, the best result was shown by Owen PR0DIGY Messer, who won almost 600,000 in EV and $680,000 in cold hard cash. In addition to respect, he got a Rolex watch for the victory worth $50,000.
Now it's time to find out the best mid-stakes player! Throughout June, the room is hosting an unofficial world championship in cash games, in which anyone can take part. They play at special 6-max tables without rake with a minimum purchase of 100bb, and the winner of the hand automatically shows his cards – so we will not miss any wild bluffs or greedy value.
World Championship Schedule:

The top 5 players will receive awards, the winner will be determined by the highest EV (minimum 20,000 hands), he will take the main prize – a Rolex watch worth $15,000.

Every Sunday there is a VIP game with ambassadors, two representatives of the poker room will be joined by 5 participants from the previous week:
- The biggest loser
- The one who played the most interesting hand
- Played the most hands
- Player with the highest VPIP (2,000+ hands)
- Player with the largest EV deficit
The scoring period ends at 23:59 GMT time every Saturday. Players at the VIP table will be allocated 1,000, hands do not count towards the overall leaderboard.
At all tables in the championship, the hand that won the pot is automatically shown.

Big update: New Table Design, Phased MTTs and +30% Rakeback for Omaha players
WPT Global updated the client and brought it closer to modern standards. The most noticeable change was in the tournament lobby tab: the design became simpler and clearer, now you can quickly find a tournament of the desired buy-in or format. Phase tournaments appeared with the ability to combine several stacks into one, the tournament schedule was updated, and the Mystery Bounty payout system was changed.
WPT Global also refreshed the design of tables, optimized the smoothness and speed of the software. The mobile client now loads faster and takes up less time.
Along with this, they announced a permanent promotion in Omaha: now players receive 30% of the paid commission for the week back to their account. The promotion does not require registration and works at all PLO4 and PLO5 cash tables. Rakeback is paid every Monday at 15:00 Moscow time.
40% Rakeback for Cash Games From the Start
WPT Global has changed the rules of the Table Starter Boost promotion, which allows you to get back up to 40% of your paid rake in cash.
