A legend of both online and live mixed games — two-time WSOP Player of the Year, known for his relentless work ethic.
Sean Deeb was born on March 1, 1986, in Troy, New York. He picked up poker at 16, running home games with friends. After high school, he moved quickly from micro stakes to serious money — in his very first year as a pro he finished second on the PokerStars tournament leaderboard, then won it outright the following two years running.
Deeb's online career reads like a story of pure dominance. He was named WCOOP Player of the Year three times, picked up 8 WCOOP titles, and added 5 SCOOP wins to his resume. For years he was one of the most feared mixed-game regulars at the highest limits, often multi-tabling 20 to 30 tables at once.
Sean's live tournament résumé is just as impressive. As of early 2026, his career earnings sit above $17.4 million. He picked up his first WSOP bracelet in 2015, and 2018 turned out to be a career peak — two bracelets plus the WSOP Player of the Year title. He repeated the feat in 2025, becoming only the second player in history after Daniel Negreanu to win Player of the Year twice.
Sean now has eight bracelets total. He won his seventh in the first-ever WSOP $100,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller, banking a PLO-tournament record of $2,957,229 — the biggest single score of his career. His eighth came from a win in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em GGMillion. In April 2026, he came close to a ninth, but fell short heads-up against Frank Kupman in the $3,300 Mixed PLO/PLO8/Big event.
Deeb turned 40 in March 2026 and remains one of the most respected veterans in the game. Nearly two decades of consistent high-level results have earned him serious consideration as a future Poker Hall of Fame candidate. Success hasn't dulled his edge, either — he still grinds with the same intensity that defined him from day one. A true grinder who never really stops.
