This article covers how to play MTTs at QQPoker — a new Asian online poker room entering a competitive field of online tournaments. We break down the daily schedule, standard rules, buy-ins, freerolls, and guaranteed prize pools.
How to Play QQPoker Tournaments
MTTs in 2026 cover three disciplines: No-Limit Texas Hold'em, PLO, and Short Deck (6+). The following tournament modes are available:
- Regular — standard format with re-entries
- PKO (Progressive Knockout) — progressive bounties for eliminations
- Mystery Bounty — bounty variant with randomized prize envelopes
- Lucky Tournament — format with random prize draws
- SNG — Sit & Go events
- Satellites — qualifiers for larger events, including live series
- Multi-day MTT, Multi-Day PKO, Multi-Day MB, Multi-day Lucky Tournament — extended versions of the above formats running across multiple sessions
Blind speed options are Normal (≥8 min per level), Turbo (5–8 min), and Hyper (<5 min).
Spins and Sit & Go tabs are not yet present in the lobby.
The majority of online tournaments are denominated in USD, though some events run in Chinese yuan. Regular buy-ins range from $0.11 to $88. Higher-stakes events appear occasionally — for example, 888 CNY (~$125 USD). During event buy-ins can reach up to $1080.

Every tournament carries a guarantee. At the $16.20 buy-in level, the guarantee is $1,200-$2,000. Given the room's relatively low traffic, overlays are frequent — in events up to $50, overlays of 20–30% are common, with occasional misses exceeding 50%.
During the day — roughly 07:00–14:00 UTC / 02:00–09:00 EST, when it's prime time across Asia — eight to ten tournaments become available to register for each hour. In the evening (European time), no more than two tournaments run per hour, with new events firing every 30 minutes.
Tables seat nine players. Blind structures come in three speeds: hyper (every 5 minutes), turbo (8 minutes), and normal (10 minutes). Late registration is open through the first 12 or 17 levels depending on the event.
Around a quarter of the schedule is made up of satellites, both single-step and multi-stage. Live qualification is also on offer: QQPoker regularly holds satellites to live events in South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, and other Asian countries, working with partners including Triton ONE (Jeju, South Korea), Merit Poker, Korea Poker Cup, and ePoker.

MTT Leaderboard
QQPoker runs weekly and monthly MTT leaderboards with a combined monthly prize pool of T$8,500 in T-Coins, redeemable as tournament buy-ins.
| Weekly | Monthly | |
|---|---|---|
| Prize Pool | T$1,000 | T$4,500 |
| Reward Spots | Top 20 | Top 50 |
| Champion Reward | T$250 | T$1,000 |
| Results Counted | Best 15 | Best 30 |
Top-3 finishers in each cycle also receive exclusive honor avatar frames.
How points work: only MTT tournaments count — cash games, SNGs, and other formats are excluded. Points are calculated automatically based on field size, buy-in amount, and final placement; any ITM finish in an eligible MTT earns points. In the event of a tie, the player who accumulated points earlier — or with fewer tournaments played — ranks higher.
Freerolls
Up to ten free tournaments run daily at QQPoker, though the schedule can vary. A typical online presence sits around 500 players. More than half of the room's freerolls are satellites awarding ticket prizes rather than cash.
To illustrate: the Daily Freeroll that starts at 08:00 UTC / 03:00 EST runs with a $135 guarantee, draws around 515 entries, and pays the top 10% of the field. First place takes 18% of the prize pool; the minimum payout is $0.50. Blinds increase every 3 minutes, late registration is open for the first 8 levels, and entry is completely open — no password, no activity requirement.
GipsyTeam's freeroll section publishes up-to-date schedules for free tournaments across all major poker rooms, including start times, prize pools, and access codes.
What Is QQPoker?
In 2024, several new entrants made their debut in the online poker industry — QQPoker among them. On review sites, the platform is sometimes categorized as a club app, but in practice it operates as a conventional mobile poker room available on Android and iOS. There are no private clubs to join: all registered users compete in a shared player pool, with transactions handled through a centralized cashier.

QQPoker is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros (License No. ALSI-202603009-FI1). While an Anjouan license is not among the most prestigious gambling jurisdictions — regulators like the MGA or UKGC carry significantly more weight — it still puts QQPoker ahead of many competing Asian apps that operate with no regulatory oversight at all. The player base skews heavily toward Asia — up to 80% of active users are located in China, despite online gambling being restricted there.
As a relatively young platform, QQPoker has grown rapidly following its partnership with Triton Poker. During peak hours, over 1,000 players are active at cash tables, with freeroll registrations typically reaching around 600. Peak activity begins at 09:00 UTC / 04:00 EST and runs for six to eight hours, overlapping with evening hours in China.
Desktop play is also supported via downloadable clients for Windows and macOS. Both the lobby and table layouts use a vertical orientation; on PC, the view can be expanded to fill half the screen.
QQPoker provides a solid set of built-in statistics — comparable to what GGPoker offers. Stats are visible before you sit down, though only VPIP is displayed at the table itself. You can color-code opponents, leave notes, review recent table hand history, and analyze your own sessions.
The cash game lobby is organized into four tabs:
- No-Limit Texas Hold'em
- ZOOM (fast poker)
- All-in or Fold
- Short Deck
- Pot-Limit Omaha (standard 4-card only)
Only classic Hold'em sees meaningful traffic; Short Deck and PLO tables are effectively empty.
Tables are 6-max and 8-max, with stakes reaching NL5000. Fast-fold tables (Zoom-equivalent) are available at NL10, NL25, NL50 and NL100. The minimum buy-in stack is 50 big blinds. No play-money mode is available.
Best Rooms for Tournament Players in 2026
If you're looking for well-established alternatives with strong tournament volume, reliable payments, and fast withdrawals, three rooms stand out in 2026.
- GGPoker is the top choice for dedicated tournament grinders. Around 50 events launch every hour across all buy-in levels, with satellites pushing that figure past 100. The minimum buy-in is $1. Weekend sessions feature multiple MTTs with guarantees of $500K+, reachable via satellites from just $1–$3. GGPoker also runs ongoing leaderboard competitions that reward high-volume tournament players with additional prizes each week.
- CoinPoker offers approximately 30 tournaments per evening hour, satellites included. The minimum buy-in is $0.50, and major weekend events carry guarantees in the $5K–$10K range.
- RedStar Poker schedules around 30 hourly events including satellites, with a minimum buy-in from €0.50. Its weekend flagship MTTs carry guarantees of €50K and €60K. RedStar is also one of the strongest rooms for freeroll volume — at least eight free tournaments run throughout each day.
All three rooms are accessible through GipsyTeam, where new and active players can claim exclusive bonuses and promotions.
