This article will break down SportsBetting Poker’s rake by type and format. Now, we’ll also take a look at how to get a portion of those fees back through loyalty programs, leaderboards, and bonuses. In doing so, we will answer a common player question: is there any kind of rakeback at SportsBetting Poker?
SportsBetting Poker Site Features
SportsBetting is the U.S. sports betting brand which is behind the online poker room of the same name. Since 2012, the poker room has been functioning within the established Chico Network. All skins of Chico share the same player pool. The main skin is TigerGaming, and Chico is typically ranked around the top-15 networks worldwide by traffic.

Many of the visitors come from the US and Canada, and many players treat poker as play money—this can shape table dynamics and game selection.
The Chico Network offers a standard selection of games: Texas Hold’em and Omaha in cash games and tournaments. Key features are:
- Lots of action at 9-max tables
- Popular MTTs and classic single-table Sit & Gos
- Limit cash games
- 6-card Omaha tables
- Play money mode
Cash games start off with $0.05/$0.10 stakes. The buy-in for the tournaments ranges from $1.10 to $215.
Poker Room Rake Structure
For some time, the rake on cash games was higher than average for the industry. In May 2024, the rake for 6-max tables was standardized to be 5% at most stakes, with no flop-no drop rule applied. In 9-max, the rake can be either 6.25% or 5.56% depending on the stake. The following table shows the cap by limit.
| Limit | 6-max rake | 6-max cap | 9-max rake | 9-max cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NL10 | 5% | $1.50 | 6.25% | $1.50 |
| NL25 | 5% | $2.50 | 6.25% | $2.00 |
| NL50 | 5% | $3.00 | 5.56% | $3.50 |
| NL100 | 5% | $3.50 | 5.56% | $3.75 |
| NL200 | 5% | $4.50 | 5.56% | $5.00 |
| NL500 | 5.56% | $7.00 | 5.56% | $7.00 |
| NL1,000 | 5.56% | $8.00 | 5.56% | $8.00 |
In limit formats and boost (fast fold), the rake is a flat 5%.
Bad Beat Jackpot (BBJ) contribution
Bad Beat Jackpot contributions are taken only at designated BBJ tables (they are marked/tagged in the lobby). Regular cash tables that are not labeled as BBJ do not charge a jackpot drop. On standard BBJ cash tables, the room takes $0.10 for every $4 in the pot, capped at $0.50 per hand. Boost (fast-fold) has a separate BBJ version with a different drop: $0.02 per $1 in the pot, capped at $0.10 per hand.
Tournament Rake
The MTT fees are roughly industry standard:
- Buy-ins up to $55 — 10% fee
- $109 — 9%
- $215 — 7.5%
In Sit & Gos, the fee can be very different: micro buy-in fees (just $0.25) may be as high as 20% while $60 buy-in fees are 8%.
Windfalls (spins) have a fee of 8% at $3 and $8, and 7% at $15 and $30. In All-in or Fold, it’s 6% and 5%, depending on the level.

How to Get Part of Your Rake Back
SportsBetting Poker had a rakeback active until 2023. After this period, it was suspended and not available until 2025 when the room reinstated rakeback under a different system.
How Rakeback Works Now
The name of the existing scheme is Poker Loyalty & Rewards. You automatically receive rakeback in your poker account every Friday.
- Payout: your rakeback is paid every Friday, no need to claim it.
- Rakeback rate: it’s based on your VIP tier in the global VIP Rewards program. As your tier increases, so does your weekly percentage.
- How to move up in VIP: your VIP level is upgraded by wagering in Casino, Sports, Esports, and the Racebook. Playing poker won't earn you any VIP Points.
- Tracking: You can keep track of how much you have earned in My Missions/Contests, under Loyalty & Rewards.
Other than that, SportsBetting runs regular races and leaderboards inside My Missions/Contests. The current staples are $25,000 Weekly Cash Race, $500 8-Hour Boost Race, $0.25-$30 Daily Sit & Go Leaderboards. There are other Windfall-related Challenges and a $500 Bomb Pot Freeroll. The room also has a welcome bonus — 100% up to $1,000 — that returns roughly ~10% while you clear it.

Although SportsBetting Poker is running a lot of promos, they aren’t always the best on the market. In the GipsyTeam’s dedicated section, we maintain a continually updated list of promos, series, races and bonuses to optimise your yield.
