In 2022, the organizers of the World Poker Tour decided to create their own platform. It was partypoker that helped them to do so. This led to the creation of WPT Global — a platform, where, in addition to the standard set of game types and formats, players can qualify for offline World Poker Tour events.
The new poker room is focused primarily on recreational players from Asia. Any auxiliary software is prohibited, and there is no game selection in cash games.
How much rake is charged at the tables?
Just like any other online poker room, WPT Global charges a commission on every pot or buy-in. Tournament rake is 10%. As for cash games, it depends on the limit and the number of players in a hand. The fee also cannot exceed a set limit – cap.

All cash games, with the exception of Pace, follow the principle of "no flop – no drop". In fast poker, the rake is taken pre-flop.

World Poker Tour: a poker room from a popular brand
In addition to banning third-party software (as we mentioned earlier), WPT Global applies strict multitabling limitations: no more than 4 cash tables, 1 fast poker table and 7 MTTs at a time (7 tables in total). Anonymizers that hide a user's real location — VPNs — are also prohibited.
You can download the poker room client on its official website. There are Windows, macOS, Android and iOS versions available. Regardless of the platform you use, you can create an account and play all kinds of games using any of them. The app interface is clean and intuitive, with clear lobby filters and tournament structure displays. Registration process is simple — you need to click on the “Register” button in the welcoming window and enter your e-mail address. After that, you have to enter the code from the e-mail and — congratulations, registration is complete.
Since WPT Global attracts users mainly from Asian countries, the highest online activity is during their evening hours. Cash. The stakes range from $0.02/0.05 to $100/200 — real-money only, as WPT Global does not offer play money tables. There are both dollar and yuan tables available. However, if you want to play Short Deck or fast-fold poker, they are available only in Chinese yuan. There are Omaha and Hold'em tables, with only 6- and 8-max tables present. There are also various formats such as Bomb and Splash present in the room.
MTT. The main feature of WPT Global is a wide range of satellites to the events of the World Poker Tour events. Not only can you win a ticket, but also a full package that covers travel and accommodation expenses. The regular schedule is mostly dominated by tournaments with medium buy-ins. The MTTs follow a traditional blind structure, with levels increasing at regular intervals There are not too many micro-limit tournaments, nor are there any high-roller events. Tournament disciplines are Hold'em and Omaha. Nearly all popular formats are present: freezeouts, rebuys, regular and progressive knockouts. The only thing missing is Mystery Bounty.
Fast poker. It can be found in the “Pace” section. The rules here are exactly the same as on other platforms: once you press the “Fold” button, a new hand at another table starts immediately. The game runs in CNY at three stakes: $0.2/0.5, $1/2 and $5/10.
Global Spins. This is the name of Spin&Go tournaments in the poker room. These are 3-max tournaments with short starting stacks in hyper-turbo format. The only difference from the competitors is that not only the prize pool, but also the number of chips at the beginning of the tournament, depends on the multiplier. The higher it is, the larger your starting stack is. The stakes range from $1 to $100.
