Highest Traffic Poker Sites for Different Poker Games
You get online, and the tables at your favorite poker site aren’t busy. A couple of half-full tables, one or two with players stacked on the waitlist, and at least 20 minutes between you and the action. You ponder changing stakes or waiting around, but you shouldn’t need to do either.
We used daily-updated Poker Room Traffic Measurements to locate the busiest spots for each game type.
Find high-traffic poker sites for different formats, and go straight from the lobby to your seat.
No Limit Texas Hold’em
The good thing about searching for games of Hold’em is that you’ve got plenty of options. Quieter poker sites still have a selection of tables, even if they’ve just started operating (like Stake or BCPoker).

GGPoker has the highest traffic compared to any poker site for Texas Hold’em, by a huge margin. They’ve got almost double the number of tables compared to the next busiest sites, PokerStars, CoinPoker, and RedStar Poker.
| Stakes | 6-Max Tables Open (Total Across Stakes at Peak Times) | Peak Time Range |
|---|---|---|
Micro-Stakes NLHE $0.01/$0.02 to $0.02/$0.05 | GGPoker: Up to 202 Tables PokerStars: Up to 97 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 63 Tables | 13:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Low-Stakes NLHE $0.05/$0.10 to $0.25/$0.50 | GGPoker: Up to 217 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 108 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 79 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Mid-Stakes NLHE $0.50/$1 to $2/$5 | GGPoker: Up to 74 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 42 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 39 Tables | 13:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
High-Stakes NLHE $5/$10 to $25/$50 | GGPoker: Up to 19 Tables PokerKing: Up to 12 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 11 Tables | 13:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC |
Even though GG is the highest traffic Hold’em site, they won’t always have the softest fields beyond the low-stakes games. Players should experiment with different sites, against different opponents.
4-Card Pot Limit Omaha
As the most well-known variant of Pot Limit Omaha, 4-Card PLO generates a lot of traffic (though 5-Card PLO is rapidly gaining popularity).

It’s not as easy for smaller poker sites to pick up a huge player base for PLO4, so the biggest rooms are still the place to go for high traffic.
| Stakes | 6-Max Tables Open (Total Across Stakes at Peak Times) | Peak Time Range |
|---|---|---|
Micro-Stakes PLO $0.01/$0.02 to $0.02/$0.05 | GGPoker: Up to 47 Tables PokerStars: Up to 9 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 9 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 9 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Low-Stakes PLO $0.05/$0.10 to $0.25/$0.50 | GGPoker: Up to 45 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 18 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 25 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Mid-Stakes PLO $0.50/$1 to $2/$5 | GGPoker: Up to 30 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 22 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 13 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
High-Stakes PLO $5/$10 to $25/$50 | GGPoker: Up to 4 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 3 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 2 Tables | No Clear Peak Times |
The great part about PLO is that plenty of players out there still haven’t mastered it. Join high-traffic PLO sites, get a grip on how the equities run compared to Hold’em, and maximize your edge.
5-Card Pot Limit Omaha
4-Card PLO is a different beast to Hold’em, and 5-Card PLO takes things up another notch. PLO5 is quickly gaining popularity, and we saw higher traffic than PLO4 at some stakes.

GGPoker dominates PLO5 traffic (no surprise there) but CoinPoker shows extremely healthy player counts at low and mid-stakes. At high-stakes, there's basically no traffic difference between GG and CoinPoker. TON Poker is a new name on the list, showing healthy traffic at low and mid-stakes PLO5.
| Stakes | 6-Max Tables Open (Total Across Stakes at Peak Times) | Peak Time Range |
|---|---|---|
Micro-Stakes PLO5 $0.01/$0.02 to $0.02/$0.05 | GGPoker: Up to 30 Tables RedStar Poker: Up to 4 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 3 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Low-Stakes PLO5 $0.05/$0.10 to $0.25/$0.50 | GGPoker: Up to 50 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 21 Tables TON Poker: Up to 15 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
Mid-Stakes PLO5 $0.50/$1 to $2/$5 | GGPoker: Up to 23 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 16 Tables TON Poker: Up to 11 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 22:00 UTC |
High-Stakes PLO5 $5/$10 to $25/$50 | GGPoker: Up to 6 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 4 Tables PokerKing: Up to 1 Table | No Clear Peak TImes |
Above $25/$50, CoinPoker has the VIP Arena with profit sharing and other perks, while GGPoker has privatized the games.
6-Card Pot Limit Omaha
PLO6 is another PLO variant gaining popularity and being adopted by more poker sites. Traffic isn’t as high as other formats, but there’s plenty of action.

Aside from GG, CoinPoker and PokerStars have the highest traffic PLO6 games on the market, especially at low and mid-stakes. At the micro-stakes, 888poker shows some tables as well.
| Stakes | 6-Max Tables Open (Total Across Stakes at Peak Times) | Peak Time Range |
|---|---|---|
Micro-Stakes PLO6 $0.01/$0.02 to $0.02/$0.05 | GGPoker: Up to 23 Tables PokerStars: Up to 5 Tables 888Poker: Up to 5 Tables | 18:00 UTC to 02:00 UTC |
Low-Stakes PLO6 $0.05/$0.10 to $0.25/$0.50 | GGPoker: Up to 29 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 11 Tables PokerStars: Up to 11 Tables | 13:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC |

High-Stakes PLO6 $5/$10 to $25/$50 | GGPoker: Up to 7 Tables CoinPoker: Up to 2 Tables | No Clear Peak TImes |
Short Deck
Updated numbers for the highest traffic Short Deck poker sites is very difficult to attain, but we can share the list of sites that offer it. Several of these options have massive player bases, so you can expect some players to arrive at Short Deck tables.
Unfortunately, this game doesn’t get anywhere near the same traffic as the other formats. You’ll have to monitor the peak times of your favorite site and play other formats in between.
♠️ Option 1: GGPoker
If you play Short Deck and want a high selection of tables, GGPoker is easily the best option. No other site that we surveyed has higher traffic Short Deck games. UTC evenings are the busiest time to play, and antes range from $0.02 to $10. That range is much lower than we find at other sites, but other sites never have the traffic to support higher stakes anyway.
♠️ Option 2: WPT Global
Short Deck games here have the ante blind structure, which ranges from $0.02 to $500. Peak time is UTC daytime, running well until the afternoon. One quirk is that WPT Global has Bomb Pot Short Deck tables.
♠️ Option 3: PokerStars
Stakes here range from button ante $0.02 to $100, with a few tables running at the lower stakes. Peak time is in the UTC mornings, when you might catch a dozen tables.
♠️ Option 4: RedStar Poker
Peak Short Deck traffic is in UTC evenings, on Friday and Saturday. Stakes run from €0.02/€0.04 to €1/€2. In these games, a set ranks higher than a straight. Unfortunately, there isn’t much action here. Even on weekends, games typically get the most traction at lower stakes.
♠️ Option 5: CoinPoker
Short Deck on CoinPoker runs from $0.02 ante up to $500 ante, with basically no traffic. In UTC early afternoon, a couple of games pick up at the lower antes, but are usually gone again by the evening. Apparently, the other formats on the site have players’ attention.
