Software reliability and stability matter a lot when you choose a poker room. Every online poker platform runs into trouble sooner or later, but constant crashes are annoying and eat up your time. RedStar Poker is a long-running online poker room and part of the iPoker Network. RedStar Poker was established in 2005.

- Stats. The iPoker network allows poker trackers during play, where site rules allow. Support tools such as Jurojin Poker aren't banned either. Hand2Note, Hold'em Manager 3, and other poker software are available in the GipsyTeam Shop catalog.
RedStar Poker may charge withdrawal processing fees, which vary by payment method. It's also worth noting the lack of player interest in Full Ring and Speed tables. RedStar Poker offers a macOS desktop client and browser play for iOS devices, but it does not list a native iOS app.
RSP's filters list more than 20 poker types, but in practice there are four main ones:
- No-Limit Texas Hold'em.
- Pot-Limit Omaha.
- Five-Card Omaha.
- Short Deck.
The room offers the classic set of formats: cash, tournaments, and spins. The Sit & Go tab occasionally fills up with Double or Nothing and Heads Up games. Let's look at the popular formats one by one.
- Cash. Players can find stakes from NL2 to NL5,000. Almost everyone prefers Short Handed. Full Ring sees little demand. HU Cash is a bit better off. The room doesn't offer experimental formats such as Bomb Pots. Fast poker is in poor shape — Speed tables sit empty around the clock.
- Spins. Three types of fast, random-prize tournaments are on offer. Twister — standard spins with a chance to win up to €200,000. Wild Twister — tournaments where everyone goes all-in on the first hand. Age of the Gods — the jackpot version of spins, where the prize pool keeps growing and often beats a regular Twister.
- Tournaments. RedStar Poker runs iPoker tournament festivals with guarantees that vary by series; the 2026 Spring Festival was advertised with €10,000,000 guaranteed. Here RSP lags well behind GGPoker or PokerStars. Its schedule has no answer to The Venom, Sunday Million, or MILLION$. That said, the room suits beginner MTT players well. Soft fields and relatively large guarantees make a high ROI achievable.
Main Reasons Behind RedStar Problems
Every now and then, users hit snags with RedStar Poker software. The client can fail for different reasons. Here are the most common situations and how to deal with them.
The RSP client won't launch. If the desktop client is not working, restart it and confirm that it is updated. Rule out a connection error by reviewing your internet connection and any firewall or antivirus notifications, then contact RedStar Poker support if the problem continues. Only add the official client to an exceptions list after verifying the downloaded file.

Login problem. If you can't sign in, double-check your username and password, then use the password-reset option on the sign-in screen. A login problem can also come from caps lock being on or an outdated client, so update the software before retrying.
The RedStar Poker app is not working. RedStar Poker gives iOS players browser access instead of a native app, so mobile trouble usually traces back to the browser or the connection. Refresh the page, clear the cache, and reopen the site; if the mobile client is not working, switch browsers or contact support.
An error when opening the cashier. Check whether the website and client are accessible, then contact support with the exact error message or a screenshot if the cashier is not working.
Your account has been blocked. An account problem like a sudden restriction often follows activity that RedStar Poker's security team flags as suspicious. Sometimes a block is applied to protect a player's funds. An access issue can also appear when you try to play from a restricted jurisdiction, so do not access real-money games from those territories. To open an account at RedStar Poker, you need to:
- Go to the room's official site.
- Click the Registration button in the top-right corner of the home page.
